Questions
Is it really free? Is there a limit?
Free, with no limit and no account. There is no API key to obtain, no request quota and no bandwidth cost to us — the conversion runs on your visitor's own device, so a page doing a thousand conversions a day costs us exactly what a page doing none does.
Do my visitors' files get uploaded to you?
No. The embed is the same code as the tool page: the file is read, converted and downloaded entirely inside the browser, and never sent anywhere. The one exception is the Network & Server tools, which look up public DNS and certificate records through our server and say so on their face — an embedded one carries that notice with it.
Do I have to keep the attribution line?
Please do. The link under the iframe is the only thing we get out of this, and it is what pays for the tools staying free and unlimited. It is a normal link — no tracking, no script.
How do I stop the tool being cut off at the bottom?
Raise the height until the preview above shows the whole tool. Each embed also posts its real height to the parent window on load, as a message named okconverter:height, so a host who wants to size the frame automatically can listen for it.
Will it match my site's dark mode?
By default the embed follows your visitor's system preference. If your page is always dark or always light, pick that theme above and the setting is baked into the URL.
