Does this lose any quality?+
Normally none at all. The video and audio are copied across untouched and only the container changes. If the source uses a codec MOV cannot hold, it falls back to a re-encode automatically — which is slower and does cost some quality.
Why is it so much faster than the WebM converter?+
Because nothing is being re-encoded. Copying streams into a new container is close to a file copy; re-encoding means decoding and compressing every frame.
Is the file size the same?+
Almost identical — usually within a percent or two, since only container overhead changes.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?+
No. Once the engine has loaded, the repackaging happens entirely inside your browser tab.
