Label stock is die-cut paper: the labels already exist, and a PDF's only job is to put ink exactly where they are. Half a millimetre of drift is invisible on screen and ruins the sheet, and there is no undo once it has been through the printer. This positions text at the published coordinates for the common Avery US Letter stocks, lets you start part-way down a sheet you have already used some of, and includes a calibration nudge for printers that pull paper a hair off-centre. Print one test page on plain paper first — everyone who has done this before already does.

Frequently asked questions
My print is slightly off the labels. What do I fix?+
Use the calibration nudge, which shifts the whole grid by a few points in either direction. Printers differ by a millimetre or two in how they pull paper and no PDF can correct for that in advance, so this is the adjustment that exists for it. Turn on the outline guides, print on plain paper, hold it against a real sheet, and nudge until they line up.
Can I start half-way down a part-used sheet?+
Yes — set the starting position to the first free label, counting left to right and top to bottom. It is the main reason a sheet of thirty labels is worth keeping after you have used four of them.
How do I get a sheet of the same return address?+
Enter it once and turn on repeat. It fills exactly the labels remaining on the sheet from your chosen start, so a part-used sheet comes out full rather than spilling one stray label onto a second page.
Which Avery numbers are supported?+
5160 and 8160 (30 per sheet, the standard address label), 5161, 5162, 5163, 5164 and 5167/8167. They cover the common US Letter stocks; the compatible own-brand equivalents sold by office suppliers use the same geometry, so matching the number on the box is enough.
Why does my long line get cut off?+
Text is clipped at the label edge on purpose. Letting a long line bleed onto the neighbouring label ruins two labels rather than one and is not obvious until the sheet is printed. Shorten the line or reduce the font size, both of which you can see in the PDF before printing.
Is my address list uploaded?+
No. The PDF is generated in your browser. A mailing list is personal data about other people, often the exact data you are contractually obliged not to hand to third parties, and this tool never receives it.
