Will the loop be seamless?+
The joins are exact — there is no gap or stutter inserted between passes. Whether it *looks* seamless depends on the clip: the last frame has to lead naturally back into the first, which is a property of the footage rather than of the encoding.
How many times can I repeat it?+
Up to twenty. The output has to be held in memory as it is written, so a long clip repeated many times will hit the browser’s limit before the cap.
Should I loop before or after making a GIF?+
Neither, usually — GIFs loop forever on their own, so repeating the video first just makes a bigger file for no benefit. Loop when you need a video that plays a fixed number of times, or for a platform that will not auto-repeat.
