Frequently asked questions
What happens to transparent areas?+
JPEG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are flattened onto a white background. Convert to PNG instead if you need transparency preserved.
Does it work with animated WebP?+
Animated WebP files convert to a JPG of the first frame. Full animation export isn’t supported yet.
Will there be quality loss?+
JPEG is lossy, but OkConverter encodes at 92% quality — visually indistinguishable from the source for almost all images.
Are my files uploaded?+
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser on your device. Your image is never uploaded, stored, or logged.
