Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between flipping and rotating?+

Flipping mirrors the image across an axis, producing a reversed reflection; rotating turns it around its centre without reversing it. Use flip to correct a mirrored photo, and rotate to fix an image that’s on its side.

Does flipping reduce the image quality?+

PNG output is lossless, so a flip changes nothing but pixel positions. JPG and WebP are re-encoded once when saved — visually indistinguishable for a single flip, though repeatedly re-saving the same file would slowly soften it.

Does flipping change the image dimensions or format?+

No — the output keeps the exact same width, height and format (PNG stays PNG, JPG stays JPG, WebP stays WebP) as the original.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?+

No. Flipping runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API — nothing is sent to a server.
