Does resizing change the file format?+

No. The output keeps whatever format you uploaded — resize a PNG and you get a PNG back, resize a JPG and you get a JPG.

What happens if I uncheck “Lock aspect ratio”?+

Width and height become independent, so you can stretch or squash the image to an exact size. Leave it checked to resize proportionally with no distortion.

Can I make an image bigger than its original size?+

Yes, up to 8000px on a side, though enlarging a small image beyond its original resolution will look softer since no new detail is created.

Does the quality slider affect PNG output?+

No. PNG is always lossless regardless of the slider — quality only applies when your output is JPG or WebP.

Are my files uploaded?+

No. The resize runs entirely in your browser on your device. Your image is never uploaded, stored, or logged.
