Is this the format WhatsApp voice notes use?+

Yes. Exported WhatsApp voice messages are Opus, sometimes with a .ogg or .oga extension instead of .opus. All of them work here.

Why is the MP3 bigger than the Opus?+

Opus is a much more efficient codec, especially for speech at low bitrates — it is genuinely better than MP3 at the same size. You are trading some file size for compatibility.

Why does the MP3 say 48kHz?+

Opus always decodes at 48kHz by definition, so that sample rate carries through to the MP3. It is correct and needs no adjustment.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?+

No. Once the engine has loaded, the whole conversion happens inside your browser tab — which matters more than usual for voice notes.
